Numbers 22:22-24

²² The anger of God was inflamed because he went, and the angel^[a] of the Lord stood in the way as an adversary against him. Now he was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him. ²³ The donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and His sword was drawn in His hand, so the donkey turned out of the way and went into the field. Balaam struck the donkey to turn her onto the road.

²⁴ But the angel of the Lord stood in a narrow path of the vineyards, a wall on this side and a wall on that side.
